Our high-visibility client is looking for a qualified Data Center Engineer to provide level 3 support using their enterprise IT ticketing system.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Should have 10
years of in-depth working knowledge of server, network and storage technologies (Microsoft, VMware, Cisco Network, HP and IBM Storage products, amongst others) Should have proficiency and recent hands-on experience in Systems Administration, Storage Design and Administration Should be extremely proficient with VMware & Virtualization Technologies and Enterprise Storage Systems. Should have exceptional communication skills and ability to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders (including senior-level decision makers) Should be able to work independently, yet be a great team player in a flexible and fast paced business environment
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS
Primary needs:
VMware vSphere Windows and Linux Server Administration Cisco Network (LAN) Security (AntiVirus, Hardening Best Practices, Network and System Forensics)
Secondary needs:
WAN Technologies (MPLS) Telco/VoIP Data Center Automation Data Center Infrastructure Operations (Power, Cabling, Cooling) HP and IBM Storage Management Backups/Archiving
Value adds:
Certifications welcome Desktop Virtualization (Citrix or VMware) Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery concepts Web Hosting Data Base Management Service Provisioning and Cloud Computing
