Aria HR & Kent Employment Solutions are partnering again in the recruitment of a Paralegal or Transaction Closing Specialist.

Role:
Full time Paralegal /Transaction Closing Specialist. You will work under the supervision of attorneys and paralegals in the Legal Department to assist with documentation and tracking of simple and complex business transactions, litigation management, and various other projects, as well as performing basic administrative functions. This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills and attention to detail and deadlines. This role reports directly to the Senior Staff Attorney.

Responsibilities:

Prepare, review, edit and complete correspondence and sale, lease and other documents, in particular with respect to the sale or lease of railcars and barges and the subsequent transfer of lease interests
Coordinate with salespeople and customers to ensure agreement on and execution of sale, lease and services documentation
Assist with tracking production, documentation and financings, including coordinating closing documents and signatures
Maintain and organize lease, sale and litigation files and documents (hard copy and electronic). Preparation of court filings is not required.
Coordinate responses to litigation discovery requests
Annual review, cataloging and storage of records pursuant to our corporate record retention policy
Provide administrative support including filing, time sheet submissions and expense reporting, MCLE reporting, and scheduling




Skills, Experience, and Education:

Highly organized and efficient, and work well under pressure with attention to detail
Experience with commercial contracts and transaction closings is a MUST
Ability to interact with employees at all levels with tact, confidentiality and diplomacy
Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively to meet deadlines and balance priorities
Maintain the highest standards of conduct and ethical behavior, and respect the confidentiality of highly sensitive material
Excellent docketing and follow-up skills

Proficient with Microsoft Word (type a minimum of 60 words per minute accurately)
Highly proficient with MS Outlook and Excel, very comfortable using databases in general
Proficiency in electronic filing and editing of documents and using red-lining software is a MUST

Have a positive attitude and a good sense of humor
Have a strong, conscientious work ethic
Enjoy working with teams large and small, a people person
Bachelor's degree preferred
Paralegal experience preferred
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
