Responsibilities:
Define, develop, and deliver on all DLS products and solutions, and provide leadership for technical solutions and product management
Direct the product roadmap and oversee the entire product line lifecycle from concept, through strategic planning, to tactical activities, providing guidance to Engineering, Product Management, User Experience and Quality Assurance.
Oversee priorities of the Development organization, and drive the solution set across the organization
Be the internal and external evangelist for the product line. Develop, drive, and own accountability for the business strategy and the plan for delivering the product line to market
Act as the communication bridge between the product line group (PLG), DLS division, Marketing, Sales and other divisions across Autodesk.
Work with Sales to develop a model to successfully sell product through the appropriate sales channels. Liaise with senior sales staff to gather product data, measure effectiveness, and determine profitability
Contribute to the creation of sales tools for partners, resellers and Sales
Coordinate publication and dissemination of customer success stories for DLS division
Manage a global team of Product Managers, Software Engineers, QA Engineers, User Experience Designers, and Program Managers, in multiple geographies.
Maintain relationships with customers, sales, marketing, industry analysts, and media
Requirements:
BA/BS in engineering or related field. MBA preferred.
Minimum 15 years work experience, preferably in software development, CAD industry
Demonstrated product knowledge and leadership. Played a senior leadership role on policies, strategy and best practices, as well as having
led complex product changes, enhancements and product direction
Experience in cloud-based services in an enterprise environment
Ability to discuss industry and marketplace trends and directions, and cite relevant case studies
Knowledge of, and experience with, all major product management functions, issues, and considerations, such as engineering, user experience, and QA.
A customer and user-centric perspective of product, and an understanding of what drives customer purchase. This includes knowledge of how social media powers product adoption
In-depth knowledge of the full spectrum of industry product groups, flagship products, their performance, and relative market share. Ability to discuss product strategies and directions relative to the competitive landscape
Adept at building opportunities and business cases for enterprise-level, high-impact projects with significant expenditures, and presenting justification to executive management
Ability to analyze and collect multiple alternatives from stakeholders, and demonstrate critical thinking in arriving at decisions
Expert at discussing industry-specific issues and challenges, relevant trends, market changes, and key players
Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence at all levels of the organization, gaining acceptance of ideas from senior executives
Promote new trends and changing demands as opportunities for the organization
Adapt well and thrive in an unstructured, ambiguous environment
