The Lake Oswego office handles small to midsize projects in a variety of industries. The variety of projects include Combined Heat and Power projects, Pulp and Paper, and Chemical Industry projects across the USA. Our responsibility includes the hardware design from the field instrumentation to the PLC and DCS control systems. We have a talented group of engineers that enjoy training people new to the field. The Intern Instrument Engineer position in this office will support the design of control systems including:Provide P&ID; input on instrumentation including correct symbology and representation. Generate Instrument Lists, I/O ListsPerform field verification activities since many projects are a retrofit nature. Perform/document sizing calculations on instruments (i.e. control valves, flowmeters, pressure regulators, pressure relief valves, etc.). Generate/review instrument specifications and obtain vendor quotations. Develop control panel layouts. Create wiring schematics or loop diagrams. Develop plan drawings, and conduit cable schedules for cable routing. Generate instrument installation details. Coordinate engineering and design activities with other project disciplines. Develop construction specifications. Provide vendor equipment coordination for instrumentation. Working towards a Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.Requires strong communication skills. Professional Registration EIT preferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
