So, let's combine our passion for plants and grow together! As a Garden Center Cashier, you are centered in the hub of the store.
You'll be responsible for sales transactions and for answering and directing phone calls.
You'll assist customers and coworkers by providing resources and facilitating sales.
You'll be responsible for the overall appearance and status of the store to ensure it's clean, organized, and represents the company's standards.
This position is a great fit for someone who has an interest and passion for plants, an aptitude for learning in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment and who enjoys consistently interacting with customers.
This is a seasonal position with 20-40 hours of work per week.
Weekend work will be required.
What you'll do:
Use Point of Sale system to process transactions.
Merchandise and care for interior plants.
Answer and route phones in a professional manner.
Clean, dust, and organize register and interior of store.
Assist in any other areas of the store as needed.
The retail store environment is a mix of indoor and outdoor space - the majority of the Cashier's time will be spent inside.
We are looking for someone who:
Has 6
months of customer service in retail or service industry.
Demonstrates attention to detail and follows through on commitments.
Communicates clearly and concisely.
Takes pride in store appearance.
Shows up on time and prepared for work each day.
Can work in a fast-paced environment and stays calm under pressure.
Is able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Is able to walk, bend, stoop and stand.
Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
