The Porter works closely with the Community Life Enrichment Coordinator and Manager to support Sister needs, community events, assist with vehicle fleet maintenance, provide technology support, and oversee organization of Sister spaces.
Hours:
40 hours per week, Tuesday - Saturday Job Duties &
Responsibilities:
The Porter sets up and removes tables, chairs, furniture, and other items for events at Oregon Regional Office or other SNJM locations.
Assists at events with serving and assisting Sisters.
Maintains organization and cleanliness of attic and basement spaces of the Provincial House.
Ensures furniture and other items are categorized properly and stored in a safe manner.
Assists with residential moves for the Sisters to include moving furniture, cleaning, and interior upgrades as needed.
Assists individual Sisters with disposing of personal and/or household belongings and maintaining SNJM community areas; i.
e.
changing lightbulbs, hanging pictures and basic furniture assembly.
Fleet maintenance and parking:
Responsible for scheduled maintenance of SNJM fleet vehicles, ensuring vehicles are fueled and cleaned and general upkeep of vehicle exteriors and interiors.
Coordinates and manages the SNJM parking lot for Sisters and staff.
Provides basic technological support including setting up TV's, phone lines, cell phones, iPads, and computers.
Assist with AV and sound systems.
Experience:
Minimum of 1-3 years of related experience.
Preferred experience working with an elderly population.

Must be able to safely and regularly push/pull boxes, furniture, or equipment.
